What decides which window the log message goes to?

Pretty sure that still relies on your Windows config in the actual game config if you mean using the split windows and want one for chat and one for combat.

I have never used Chatmod or Battlemod. What are the benefits of Chatmod over standard chat filters?

I wish that were the case but I'm getting messages in window 1 which 1 configured to go to window 2.

What is your actual game config setup as?

For me, window 1 is setup like this.
Window 1:
Chat - All ON
For Self - All OFF
For Others - All OFF
System - Battle messages OFF, Calls for help and Basic system messages ON

Window 2:
Exact opposite of above

This puts all of my chat messages in window 1 and all of my battle logs in window 2. With Basic system messages setup this way, exp gains, loot messages, etc. are in window 1, as well.

Same issue as Yuna, my damage is going into Window 1 when it is set to go into Window 2.

But for me the addon crashes after a few seconds of being active. I get error on getname chatmod.lua line 700. Seems to happen when I WS but can't say for sure. Does this every time I unload and load while fighting.

Hey guys keep plugging away at listing those issues on the tracker for my git! I appreciate it!
I should have time this coming weekend to delve into them and see what's up.

Just so you guys know - I am not the creator of this addon; I only updated what I could from a v2 addon to v3. I'm not sure how much of this originally functioned and how well it functioned.

Not yet. I've been strapped for development time due to some changes in my schedule on the weekends - I've lost the free time I had before.
